Dry Day



Eco club of Sree Saraswathy Vidyalayam  Oorutambalam  had  organized a mosquito eradication program to control fever on July 7th 2017. 

On behalf of that,  students from eco club and students from 5th to XIIth  std were divided in to 12 groups. 






Each group had 2 or 3 teachers and they visited many houses to create awareness among the people how to eradicate mosquito and control fever. They visited the houses from 10am to 12.30 pm and they collect the data’s alone.




                              
Afternoon section we are celebrated as “Dry Day”. The main aim is to clean school campus. We divided our students of 5 to 12 in to various groups. Each group is lead by teachers.
They cleaned each and every corner of the school and made the campus clean.  After that our management is provided with rice flakes (aval) for students and teachers.

To conquer the world of knowledge our principal Sri A.S.Hrishikesh sir has introduced a new venture.  The venture started the re-opening day itself.  Now our display boards are enriched with the importance of each day, without fail.  The feed back surprised in the form of children. They recorded everything in their personal diaries. 

The students such as Nandana D.A., Rajisha Sekhar, Vaishnavi S. Nair, Sruthy R. Nair, Athulya Suresh,(VII B) Nadasree (VIII A), Saranya R.S. Meenakshi J.R. (XA) submitted one month’s record infront of the principal. 


 The students were encouraged with a small memento.  This showed motivation and eagerness to knowledge among all.

June 30th Friday our literary club released the News Magazine of June named ‘Saraswatha Shabdam’ by our beloved Vice Principal Smt. Sheeja R. in the school assembly in the presence of Principal Sri. A.S. Hrishikesh.  We proudly appreciate the following pupils and literary club convenor Smt. Maya K. who were devoted their time and their effort to public 'Saraswatha Shabdam'.

MEDICAL CAMP



MEDICAL CAMP ON 28TH JUNE 2017



Today main issue of Kerala is ‘Fever’.  So we, Sree Saraswathy Vidyalayam conducted a Medical Camp in the help of a Medical Team of Maranalloor Homeo Hospital.  We issued preventive medicines to the Staff, Students and Parents.  At about 1000 strips were distributed we are very thankful to Dr. Shyma, Medical Officer of Maranalloor.

YOGA - The Spirit of Life



YOGA -  The Spirit of Life



Yoga gives peace, happiness, harmony and success in every soul in the world.  Sree Saraswathy Vidyalayam celebrated 3rd International yoga day with great pleasure on 21st June.


                The yoga day commenced with chanting of prayer.  An informative talk on yoga with emphasis on its relevance in life was given by the chief guest Sri. Vijayakumar, Manager State Bank of India, Ooruttambalam , Vice Principal Smt. Sheeja R. included that by “practicing yoga in daily life”, one could control mind and body.  





By 10.00am we started the yoga sessions of the students from 1 to XII, teachers and non teaching staff under the guidance of our yoga teacher Smt. Kaladevi.   

A demonstration on advanced yoga was held by school yoga team.  

The demonstration started with warm up session and progressed with various asanas such as Vrikshasana, Mayoorasana, Dhanurasana etc.  The session ended with Surya namasakara and pranayama.


                The yoga day celebrations came to an end with a hymn and pledge to practice yoga in daily life.
